Review Marathon

This issue, members from all of the various Lantern Corps unite and defeat Nekron and Black Hand. United all of their colours turn to white which should defeat the villains. But something goes wrong and as Nekron claims, instead of defeating him, the Lanterns recharge him somehow and many heroes resurrected recently return to the dead. Will the heroes of Earth and the Lantern defeat the Black Lanterns?

I still find incredible to believe that the Red Lanterns or that Sinestro have been convince to stay in the ranks of the united Lanterns without trying to pull a fast one on the other camps. I’m also not convinced with how the Purple Lanterns of compassion are any different than the Blue Lanterns of hope. I would have preferred if Johns had picked better emotions than those two for these respective corps as they seem redundant. The only one that is truly unique is Agent Orange, the Orange Lantern. Reading the rest of this comic book is like reading the motions of a novel or a film where you see what’s happening, but you aren’t really involved as a reader. It’s a well executed script but without any spirit to it.

Reis is a good artist but a bad storyteller. His work is too complex for the average reader to quickly understand the action he’s exposing. So much happens that it becomes a muddle.
