It’s Halloween in the DC Universe and super natural creature figure it’s a great opportunity to try to do some damage. But thanks to Black Adam, wife Isis and brother Osiris, monsters are contained. There’s another field mission for Lex Luthor’s Infinity Inc. team and their appearance sparks Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern and the one of Checkmate’s new king to recruit the one man he can trust as his bishop and advisor, Mr Terrific.

Finally, we see some movement in this series as something happens. The story about Felix Faust’s plight as he sells his soul continuously to the lowest bidder is intriguing. As for the so called “Black Marvel family,” they are already upstaging Captain Marvel’s. I liked the touches with the kids dressed up as super heroes on Halloween night and their reaction after seeing the Black Marvel family. It was sweet.

About the artwork, there is nothing to say. So many people worked on it that it’s like putlock. It only shows the weakness of some of the artists when some pages are realistic and others seem rushed. I guess the editors had to divide this story in small parcels to make sure they could get it out on time. One of Intergang’s associate seems like a cross from Mojo and Humpty Dumpty!
