There are two sides to every story. You've heard Thor's — now it's time to hear Loki's. Odin's least favourite son rewrites Asgardian lore from his perspective in this 4-issue limited series, featuring breathtaking painted artwork. In this story, Loki's insatiable lust for power, his conflicted sentiments toward Sif, his antipathy toward Balder, and the deep-seated feelings of longing and resentment toward his older brother, Thor, and uncaring father, Odin, will take on new meaning.

I’d never read anything by Robert Rodi, but heard some really good things. Now I’ve read this, you can definitely call me impressed. Anyone can tell a story, but it takes real talent to draw a reader into its inner workings. This, on the surface seems a story of Loki’s conquest of Thor, Odin and all of Asgard, but in truth, it is a story of the inner struggle with the demons that have consumed him. We get to see the deeds that have lead to this moment…….well: we see them through the rose tinted glasses of Loki anyway and throughout you are griped. The stories of myth are interwoven into this tale and it fits perfectly together like a puzzle. Rodi’s voice and interpretation are wonderful.

I’ve never seen Esad Ribic art before, but trust, he’s the super star painter air-apparent! This story took ages to read, as I found myself transfixed by each and every page. Its beautiful art from start to finish in every issue. There is so much detail as well, from crows feet around the eyes, to the veins around muscle. Ribic’s use of light and shade is also used as a perfect tool also throughout the story. The covers are also a masterful depiction of the inner story.
