Justice League Unlimited #2

Superman, Flash Booster Gold and Steel are playing poker at the Justice League satellite when the super-powered Royal Flush Gang (from the animated series), make their return-- attacking Las Vegas AGAIN!? This is largely an excuse for another slugfest between the League and the Gang, which frankly pales before the epic battle that was waged earlier in the cartoon. Fans will be glad to see Booster Gold and Steel (John Henry) in action once more, even if it is in the animated continuity. But in the end, all it amounts to is a joke concerning Superman and the League which just doesn't reflect well on Superman. The art by Beavers and Wong also fails to capture the excitement of what should be a highly-kinetic battle. This comic is aimed at kids but even kids would want to see a more interesting plot-- with a more exciting fight scene.
