Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has begun production of the "Justice League of America" videogame, based on the DC Comics super heroes, for the Sony PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and Microsoft Xbox video game system. Set for release in fall 2006, the "Justice League of America" game will be a super hero action role-playing game.
"We are excited to announce a videogame that will bring the legendary super heroes of the 'Justice League of America' to the next level for gamers," said Jason Hall, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "The innovative and highly engaging combat system in the 'Justice League of America' game will capture the strength and appeal of the characters, offering players a tremendously fun and rewarding experience."
"The joy of the 'Justice League' as a game is the chance to be your favorite characters and to interact with the rest of the team in the rich fantasy world of the DC universe," said Paul Levitz, President & Publisher of DC Comics.
Featured super heroes will include Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna, instead of traditional seventh meber, Aquaman. Each super hero will possess unique super powers that are character-specific, creating a variety of fighting styles for players to utilize while battling the forces of evil. Gamers will have the power to bring classic super heroes of the "Justice League of America" to life, customize their skills and engage in one-to-two player cooperative combat throughout interactive and destructible environments.
