Marvin, the old armless dragon who wants to retire, but before he does, he wants to see his children. But in dragon culture, it is forbidden for fathers to see their sons. Marvin, with the aid of his protege, Marvin the Rabbit, seeks his children and his wife. In order to find his family, Marvin the Dragon, will have to battle opponents and transgress dragon laws. But the planet has exploded, and chunks of it float over the lava core. Can he find his family? Some contents are not suitable for younger audiences.

This series continues where the last volume ended and because it’s in the twilight series, it’s set in the darkest days of the planet. I really like how the inhabitants of the planet have adjusted their lives and schedules according to the gravitation of the chunks of planets. As usual, there is a cold lucidity in the speeches of the characters.

The plot is not complex. As any good sword and sorcery adventure, we follow the heroes on a quest. And it is this quest that is so important in Dungeon. Although this series is more enjoyable if you have read previous volumes, as a stand alone, it is not complex.

I would have liked to see more exploration of how the characters adapted to the new time standards and travelling. That’s one aspect that was quickly skipped over. Also, I would like more exploration about why the planet split.

The artwork hides the maturity of the content matter. The scribbles are easy to understand and the storytelling is competent.

10/10
