Chaos Campus Sorority Girls vs. Zombies #2 cover image

After the zombie invasion of their sorority house, the girls of Epsilon Alpha Zeta Upsilon (EAZY) are on the run.  Jaime Schaeffer, Paige Patton, and Brittany Miller have separated from their bitchy sorority sisters, but the trio has a huge problem.  Brittany is now one of the undead, after being bitten by a skank-turned zombie.  Luckily, Paige has the (magic) charm to cure Brittany’s undead ills.  In “Dead Man on Campus” (Part 2 of 2), the buxom beauties will have to escape hordes of the undead before they all become undead whores.

When a comic book creator mixes zombies, fanservice, and crackling chitchat, he’s creating a gumbo that will never be too much of a good thing.  Writer, comic book creator, publisher, and entrepreneur, Bart A. Thompson has a tasty winner with Chaos Campus Sorority Girls vs. Zombies #2, but I must admit that I’ve enjoyed my previous experiences with Chaos Campus – this funky fast food.  The dialogue is so snappy and funny that it’s easy for the reader to miss the panty shots and assorted T&A, but that’s why we reread.

With every page, Thompson is willing to shock and delight his readers with unexpected surprises – from clever plot twists to disarming plays on words.  His biggest surprise (which is obvious when you think about it) is an homage to a bit of pop culture that has been getting a lot of play lately.

As with the first issue, Thompson has a skilled art team, Josh Cruz & Anthony Tan, transforming his story into solid visual storytelling.  And there’s something about that cover by Otoniel Oliveira that grabs me.
