Weapons are being smuggled from Canada to the United States and it’s up to Captain Canuck to stop his old foe. In the final chapter opposing Captain Canuck and biker gang leader Mr Gold, a face to face duel is all that can decide which one will survive the encounter. However, Mr Gold is not harmless and he has a back up assassin ready to take out Captain Canuck and anyone who help him.

This story was much more entertaining than the previous. There was as much action but the crazy retelling of Captain Canuck’s 30th year history was a cool science fiction plot device. For a moment though, I thought I was reading a James Bond comic book with all the tech gadgets used to make Captain Canuck a more proficient hero. This series paved the way for a return of Captain Canuck in the new millennium. Let’s hope the publisher doesn’t lose the momentum.

The artwork was similar to the first issue, although this time we got to see the artist’s rendition of the earlier Captain Canuck. Langlois is a good action artist although he’ll need more comic book work under his belt in order to break free from the stiff posing of his characters. Textures were used in the background along with the colouring technique used in the last issue adding some softer touches to the artwork. It looked like water colours.
