Captain America and former love, Sharon Carter are on the hunt for Bucky who apparently is alive again. They stumble into an AIM project while trying to fend off an ambush by Crossbones and his daughter who want to avenge the Red Skull’s death. Can Captain America escape Crossbones’s trap and reach Bucky in time?

There is some faint lighthearted humour in this issue. It springs out of the situation and plot. Crossbones and his daughter. Their presence turns the story into an over the top smash. I like it. There is great chemistry between Sharon and Captain America. A few sentences here and there let us guess that these two have worked together before. One thing that I’d like to know what happens of AIM’s new troops.

Perkins is a peculiar fellow. He draws Captain America unmasked as if he were a mix of Duke from G.I.Joes, Charlton Heston  and Alfred Schwarzenegger. He should make up his mind! His Crossbones doesn’t look as menacing as the Ron Lim version but is a great update on the old villain. The painterly style gives an air of mystery to the story that is not present in the actual script!
