Candle Light Press At Wizard World Chicago.
Candle Light Press's Carter Allen, Ian Bennett, Will Grant, and John Ira Thomas will be appearing at Wizard World Chicago on Aug 3-6. On hand will be special con-only previews of Thomas and Grant's LOST IN THE WASH and Allen's NIKKI HARRIS: Cybermation Witch, as well as the complete catalog of CLP works for sale. They will be in Artists' Alley, listed in the Wizard World program under each of above creators' names.
"It's been a great year," said Thomas, writer of this year's THE FARIER SEX v2: A Tale of Shades and Angels. "We've released some great books, like DUB TRUB 3: This Dangerous Game, and nabbed some great notices." Among the honors this year are the ALA Top 10 Graphic Novels For Youth slot for Ian Bennett's LEAP YEARS, as well as the bronze medal from Foreword Magazine's Book of the Year Awards. BOOKLIST called THE FAIRER SEX v2 "a breakneck actioner", and LJ Douesseaux of this site called it "an early entry into the 'year's best' sweepstakes."
Candle Light Press is a publisher of graphic novels in Iowa City that has
released thirteen full-length graphic novels in the last three years. The
five writers and artists comprising CLP are Iowans and Iowa natives
committed to putting the novel in graphic novel. They make use of
print-on-demand technologies to produce a large body of work, available in bookstores worldwide. At any given time they are working on four original graphic novels in a variety of genres.
