HEE!
Ivan Bruetti’s latest release, HEE!, is apparently a companion piece to his book Haw!, a collection of single-page gags that Fantagraphics recently brought back into print. I’ve never read Haw!, but it apparently has the same kind of gallows humor found in Hee! Imagine this as The New Yorker cartoons, Kaz, and Johnny Ryan mixed with Brunetti’s intensely scatological and sadistic humor, and you have Hee! With a publication size that neatly fits into the palm of the reader’s hand, this will either turn you off or have you searching for more Brunetti. I want more.
