Richard Moore revisits the first volume of his cult series about Michael Paris and his inheritance with a new fully coloured edition. Michael Paris inherits a large property that happens to be a cemetery where monsters and other creepy creature call home. The folks from the nearby town want to level the cemetery because it brings bad fortune to their town. However, there is something else brewing in the background and it’s up to Michael to make up his min d on whether he will sell the property or not.

Moore crafts a simple story where all the mystery about the monsters living on his land is quickly explained and becomes trivial after a while. But this is not a bad thing as the monsters and the creatures are lovable. There’s a feeling that there is more back story and characterizations to these characters. Yet Moore turns the tap carefully and it will take several volumes before readers really get to share these characters with Moore.

Let’s say it now. Moore is obsessed with girls with large buttocks. Having said that, Moore also gives children’s proportions to his characters, making his series seem more like a spoof than a serious comic book. Adults have big heads and small bodies. Nevertheless, Moore is great draftsman and storyteller. The colours in this book are typical Adobe Illustrator tones, who don’t really contribute to the story’s mood.
