Here's a new review of the ComicBookBin iPhone app by iPhone app critic Connor Turner. What he has to say about our app is extremely cool. One thing he really highlighted was that the ComicBookBin iPhone app fully support both landscape and portrait mode unlike the majority of iPhone apps. Turner refers to the Bin as a "mecca for everything comic related." Please check out his full review at yycApps
I was joking with our editors that I haven't written a controversial and highly critical article in quite a while. That's because we're all so busy at the Bin working hard on improving things. We'll start working on the new Web site soon, based on the designs by Comic Book Bin fan Sean Kleefeld. I was just too busy to start that project while we were working on our iPhone app. Time has become very precious.
I know many of you would appreciate an updated look to our Web site, but you'll have to bear with us while we work through a lot of change. Incidentally, I'm a trained IT change and project manager, so everything should eventually work out.
People often can't begin to imagine the amount of work and all the people that make a site like the Bin happen.
Speaking of big project, we'll have our fourth theme month starting on June 1st 2010. Our first theme month way back in 2007 was Women's Month. It was highly popular and we did tons of work to highlight women back then. Our second theme month was with Dark Horse Comics. Our third with Top Shelf Comics.
This time, we're doing a theme month with comic book publisher NBM. NBM has been publishing comic books, graphic novels and translated materials for over 15 years. They've got a great catalogue of titles that stem from North America, Europe and Asia. They even got a line for kids called PapercutZ. We're hoping you'll appreciate them and get to know them better with this theme month.
