Batman: Gotham Knights # 71 DC Comics WRITER: A.J. Libermann ARTISTS: Al Barrionuevo, Bit COVER: Claudio Castellini
The cover of this comic has Batman battling clay-like copies of himself. The scene does not appear in the comic, perhaps a sign of the difficulty they had in plotting this issue. Batman must get a sample of one of the Clayface's bodies in order to clear Alfred's name. But in the process, he has to fight another Clayface-- this one a tool of Hush. The details are unclear and the writer makes no attempt to tell the readers what has went before. The art is moody and sometimes imaginative but other than that, nothing really special. Someone has to come up with a definite ending to this whole "Hush"-plotline because he simply isn't coming off as "the next big supervillain" that they wanted him to be. So now, he is just a character who insists on hanging around long after his story was concluded.
