Aquaman # 35

This issue reeks of the Manhunters’ plot thread introduced way back in the late 1980s. The Omacs have resurfaced all over the DC Universe, but one would think that DC could think of something more elaborate in order to cram in the set up of its next universe-wide crisis. As one could guess, the story barely moves from the cliffhanger introduced in the previous issue and is just a neat trick used to tie Aquaman to the crossover megafest at DC Comics.
Leonard Kirk has good layouts which Clarke handily fills up with his own finely tuned artwork. I guess Aquaman is a good grooming ground for Clarke as it seems he is much stronger in the finishing department than on the storytelling. As for Kirk, his finishes have never been very strong. This team up of the two artists is a good way to get the best out of each.
