Alias #26

Jessica Jones the owner and sole employee of
Alias Investigations, a small private eye firm. She used to go by the name of
Jewel. Something huge, catastrophic happened though that made her stop. For ages we've had things hinted at, but now, now we learn the truth!!!
Bendis knows how to tap into the heart of a situation. He knows how to breathe life into words and make them jump of the page. We are given two stories here. Neither are happy ones, but they are both at different levels of emptiness.
Bendis shows us
Jessica's darkest most harrowing period of her life and then the strength it takes to revisit it. This stories undercurrent is built on the strength it takes to live, but does
Jessica have enough strength for the next step…………confrontation!?!
As usual
Gaydos pencils depict the darker side of
Jessica's nature. She isn't always happy, she has troubles and you can pick this up in the art.
Bagley was definitely a great pick for drawing
Jessica's early days as
Jewel. His work has a youthful essence to it. I have to say I didn't really enjoy
Mays work though. It didn't project much feeling, his lines seemed kinda sharp and his facial expressions seemed more scary than anything else.
