Based on the great reaction to last year's inaugural Women of Comics symposium, WOC returns in 2007 as part of the Paradise Comics Toronto Comicon this summer!
Women of Comics II will continue with the themes explored in 2006 and will continue to spotlight the work of some of the top female professionals in the business. This year's line up so far includes Tania Del Rio (writer & artist, Sabrina the Teenage Witch), Gail Simone (writer, Birds of Prey and the All-New Atom), Patricia Mulvihill (colorist, 100 Bullets), Heidi MacDonald (intrepid comics reporter, The Beat) and Christine Norrie (Cheat, Breaking Up) amongst others.
Sponsored by All New Comics Inc., the symposium will again feature signings, portfolio reviews and several panel discussions on women as storytellers and the unique perspective they bring to the art form.
The 5th Annual Paradise Comics Toronto Comicon runs from June 8th-10th at Exhibition Place.
