MEANWHILE… Daphne learns a monster resembling Fred has been seen ‘round these parts, and she’s determined to go find him. Scooby’s determined to stop her, but Scrappy has other ideas. Like a dog chasing a car, Daphne’s not sure what she’ll do once she finds the un-dead Fred. Kiss him or kill him, one or the other, I guess.
MEANWHILE… Scrappy seems to have a secret or two of his own that he’s not yet willing to share. Which is fine with me, because this reformed Scrappy has never been to my liking. Scrappy Doo has been the Cousin Oliver of the cartoon world for decades, and there’s no washing off that kind of stink.
MEANWHILE… DC has finally laid the interminable Secret Squirrel back-up to rest. It ran about 10 issues too long, and has now been replaced by Atom Ant. He’s up for membership in the JLA, if he can get his monstrous ego out of the way. Joining him is a call back from the Bronze Age Green Lantern era. At first I thought it was a Starro the Conqueror reference, but color me surprised. Stay tuned.
