Return of the King: Brian K. Vaughan at Image Comics

It's official: Brian K. Vaughan, celebrated writer of such works as Pride of Baghdad, Y: The Last Man, and Ex Machina, announced during Robert Kirkman's San Diego Comic Con panel that he would be returning to the comic book industry, and now Image Comics has posted all of the details!

Vaughan will be joining artist Fiona Staples, who has worked on books like Northlanders and Proof and on covers for DV8 and THUNDER Agents, on a new ongoing sci-fi series slated for release in early 2012. The book is called SAGA and will depict a family's fight for survival during a time of war.
