The next story arc, entitled “Prism of Time,” begins in earnest a handful of time anomalies rear their diabolical heads, even as the Green Lantern Corps continues its challenging alliance with the Sinestro Corps.

Clearly, this alliance is going to be an ongoing struggle, but I do hope we aren’t treated to a smack-down between green and yellow in every issue. That would become very tiresome very quickly.

I could tell you more, but I’ve always prided myself on the ability to avoid needless spoilers. Are there surprises? Yes, indeed. And with a prophetic statement from one of those surprises at the end, this story could have ramifications for the Corps (both of them), as well as the entire DC universe. But I hear that about a lot of DC’s titles these days.

V. Ken Marion joins the ranks of GL artists in this issue. Some of his work reminds me of Joe Staton from the 1980s. While his cartoony style was never my particular cup of tea, your mileage may vary. But this is Marion’s initial outing as penciler on Hal Jordan, so it may just take an issue or two before he settles in. I can afford to be patient.
