And I shall shed my light over dark evil

Alan Scott. Hal Jordan. Guy Gardner. John Stewart.

I'll pose the question, but I know dear reader, that you are already ahead of me....

What does that quartet of names I just rattled off have in common? (Apart from all containing an 'a' or a 'n' in their names, that is) Yes, they have all been the possessor of a Green Lantern and worn an emerald power ring.

Now the story of a man chosen by the self styled Guardians of The Universe to protect the section of the universe that Earth is in, is coming to the screen in 2011. And we have three front runners for the role. One of whom almost knocked me off my seat when I read his name!

We have the ever reliable Ryan Reynolds. He seems to be in big demand at the moment, whether he will be able to do this - he's also been mentioned as a possible to portray the Flash, as well as his up coming 'Deadpool' duties - is anybodies guess.

There is Bradley Cooper, who has shown himself to be a versatile actor with his roles in 'Alias', 'Wedding Crashers' and 'The Hangover' to name but a few. And his star is set to shine even more with his role in the upcoming, 'A-Team' movie.

And last but not least, we have Justin Timberlake, who has quietly been getting in some time on the screen and more performances under his belt. A curious choice I feel, but I might be missing something.

With the former 'Bond' and 'Zorro' helmer Martin Campbell at the reigns, this promises to be an exciting watch. I'll be intrigued to see who is eventually  given the lead role and who else is be cast and in what roles, as well.
