The Sentry has been defeated and the real Avengers are collecting the rest of the Dark Avengers to put them on trial. But are all Dark Avengers equally villainous. And which ones will escape the clutch of the Avengers’ justice?

This issue wasn’t complicated but it was good. It was a nice conclusion to a great series. It’s strange how I loath the work of Bendis in New Avengers yet marvel at his Dark Avengers. It really was a great experiment and fantastic series for those of us that had never read anything from the Thunderbolts. The whole point of this issue was to deal with loose ends and provide a great finale with Norman Osborn. It’s not original to say so, but I really like the ending with Osborn. It was cliché and to be expected, yet it was effective. If you haven’t read any of the Dark Avengers yet, this issue, although the last is a great one and I strongly suggest that you pick it up and enjoy some of the best work from Marvel Comics.

Deoodato continues to impress me. Starting as an artist I could not stand with annoying unnatural poses, he morphed into a strong storyteller with a sense for the dramatic, as can be seen in the last page of the comic book featuring Osborn. He’s not what I would call a photogenic artist. His style is not exuberant. But he gets the job done.

Rating: 10 /10
