Pied Piper drags the body of the Trickster through the desert while Granny Goodness slowly reveals her hand on Paradise Island as Jimmy Olsen battles a Female Fury. This issue does help make the main plot clearer. All the different plot threads seem to finally coming together which makes for a more comprehensible story. Some parts of the story seem to be a bit padded out-- like Piper's hallucinatory conversations with the Trickster's dead body. Yes, it is funny, it does shed some light on the characters but it doesn't seem to move the story along. Unless the Pied Piper's growing instability is suppose to be a major plot point.

The art is serviceable, which says a lot considering all the different settings in the story. The characters are all recognizable and the action scenes are put together well. The art does not try to use heroic poses or cheesecake to grab the reader's attention. In fact, the women depicted in this comic look rather stocky.

The cover however is a disappointment. It is a dull monochrome that fails at conveying the desperation of the characters and which even makes it difficult to tell what is going on in the cover.
