Batgirl seems to have ended the threat to her boss, congressional candidate Luciana Alejo, but she has yet to determine who assassin for hire Cormorant was working for. Fortunately, Mairghread Scott is willing to share that plot point with the readers, by revealing the latest iteration of the Terrible Trio is behind it all.

For those unaware, the Terrible Trio are a criminal threesome in the form of a fox, a vulture and a shark. Masks? Animorphs? Mutations? Who knows? Just go with it. They first appeared in Detective Comics #253 (March 1958), and have resurfaced in various forms over the years. Now, they have their collective sights set on Gotham’s underworld, but Alejo is in their way – as is Batgirl.

Meanwhile, Barbara Gordon has issues of her own. Her tech company is struggling, she’s angry at her father and has taken a new apartment, which may not go as smoothly as intended. Remember what I said about her struggling tech company?

Artists Paul Pelletier and Norm Rapmund have returned to the title after a brief respite, and couldn’t be more welcome. I am loving their work and hope they’ll be around for many more issues to come.
