“I don’t know if its art but I like it!”  Some silly clown said that one time or another just before getting trounced by a dude dressed like a big ole bat.  While the clown was totally insane, like most of what he had to say, it made a lot of sense…Hence here I am, taking on the world of the comic book and desperately trying to show that comics ARE art.  WHAT!  You mean it’s already been said and done, quite eloquently by many others?  Oh well, I can’t stop now! I’m having way too much fun!  Got to put that MA English to work somehow!  Let’s see, something was said about art, well I’m in it for the literature…Milton, Miller, Blake, Brubaker, Cooper, Claremont, Melville, Millar-the alliterative allegory always attracts attention when wondrously writing-they all are greats and the world will realize this!  In my humble and way inept way, I’m going to keep spreading the word as needed or desired, COMIC BOOKS CAN BE LITERATURE!!  “Why so serious?” you ask?  Didn’t really think I was but actually, yeah, I think I am…

Love it? Hate it? Tell it?  afrisk@comicbookbin.com

(That little tag line means drop me a line with review requests, praise and or derision on my reviews, articles, ravings, etc, etc.  Constructive criticism never hurt anyone!  Well…except maybe insane clowns and the like…)
