The funniest thing about this action figure's face, is the uncanny resemblance to actor Brad Pitt. It seems like the sculptor needed a model on which to base the character and chose Pitt. Well Pitt for Angel is not a bad choice. As Angel's profile say he is of a smaller build although quite muscular. He also got that playboy thing going.

The figure is probably one of the best looking one from the Marvel Legends series. It has nice shading all over and looks better built than either Iceman and made with better plastic than Cyclops.

The wings are well designed and can be detached from the figure's back. However, the wings cannot close. It's better to have the wings opened than closed if they won't be articulated. Very few action figures have articulated wings. The best model so far has been the original Hawkman and Hawkgirl set from DCDirect released way back in 2000. The wings could fold on the back of the figure and open up for flight.

Angel cannot stand on his own at all. He does not come with any action figure stand to support the weight of his wings on his back, similar to the Mystique action figure. That's a real problem as he's limited to being pushed on a wall to stand up. The alternative is to remove his wings

There is a variant of this figure sporting the blue suit Angel wore in the early issues of the comic book series X-Factor. However, the best figure would be the red one which is the Bronze age version of the character sporting his most iconic costume ever. It's the suit he wore when he fought the Imperial Guard on the moon during the Phoenix saga.

This action fire was released in 2005 so it may not be easy to get nowadays. It's really too bad that Marvel Legends is no longer produced and that Hasbro has decided to focus only on smaller-seized Marvel Comics action figures. Angel is came with the left foot of the 16 -inches Sentinel action figure.
