1. Superman/Batman #17, 18 pts"I am surprised by how excited I was to read this title. It was the first comic I read when I got home from the store. Loeb's plots are never more than an excuse for him to play with DC's most beloved characters. He did it in the Long Halloween and Hush. The plots of both stories were disjoined and ultimately inscrutible. And I loved both of them. Now he's doing the same thing with the World's Finest Team. I don't understand how Supes and Bats are travelling through time and I don't know which past they remember as "correct." But I am happy for any excuse to see them interact with the Haunted Tank and Legion of Supervillains. This is not an epic storyline that will change the face of comics. It IS a fun storyline, though. And sometimes, FUN is enough." altamont, DC Message Boards
(tied for 2nd) Adam Strange #5, 12 pts
Pretty good, much like the previous issues of the mini. I'm looking forward to Vril Dox's role in future issues. The Omega Men were used fairly well again.
(tied for 2nd) GrimJack: Killer Instinct #1, 12 pts
"Ostrander and Truman return, after a 14-year gap, to the character that launched both their careers. They manage to do three things with this story: 1. fill in the blanks for newcomers, 2. add new information for old-timers, and 3. thoroughly entertain. Welcome back, John Gaunt!" positiveman, DC Message Boards
4. Superman #213, 10 pts
"After a week's delay, we get some answers about the new place. The art is killer and the inhabitants of the place intriuge me, but it doesn't explain how it is that he seems to have made this place yet not known earlier where the missing folks had gone. Points off for that." darklaw14, DC Message Boards
5. Deadshot #3, 9 pts
By far the best issue of the series, with wonderful plot, humor, and characterization. This series is the first time I have found Floyd to be an intriguing character. A very good mini!
6. The New Avengers #3, 7 pts
Decent issue, but really just a filler. Good characterization, but not much really happens. Typical Bendis mid-arc comic.
7. Firestorm #10, 6 pts
"Best issue of the series so far. Ronnie Raymond makes his long-awaited appearance. Great interaction between the original Firestorm and the new one. I like how Jason took Killer Frost out. Gorgeous artwork. The cliffhanger (although given away by next month's cover) has me as excited about the next issue as I was about this one!" mistermiracle, DC Message Boards
8. Concrete: The Human Dilemma #2, 5 pts
"Among other things, Maureen confirms something I've suspected for a while." positiveman, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) The Twilight Experiment #1, 3 pts
"A double dose of Gray & Palmiotti comes at ya with this mini from the Wildstorm Signature series. This permier issue was interesting as 2 lives from 2 different events will somehow be brought together.. I think. Its still early to make a judgement, but I liked what I read. Artist Juan Santacruz reunite with Justin and Jimmy, making the action big and the drama work." dubpir, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Justice League Elite #8, 3 pts
"I always love seeing anything referring to Kirby's Fourth World, and that includes this issue. Unfortunately part of it entails the death of one of my currently favorite characters: Manitou Raven. Why is it whenever a cool Native American hero is introduced in comics - like Raven or Thunderbird - they wind up biting the dust? Not cool at all." ishmael1st, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Uncle Scrooge #338, 3 pts"The best all ages (and overall comic IMO) hits a homer with a real treat for Scrooge fans. We start off with a Carl Barks classic "The Horse-Radish Story" and ends with an Italian Scrooge classic by the wonderful Romano Scarpa. One of the treats of Uncle Scrooge and all of the Gemstone comics is the treasure trove of Disney European classics finally getting a reprint over here in the states. Each story is a classic; humor with action and dynamic artwork to cap it all off." dubpir, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Sabrina, the Teenage Witch #64, 3 pts
"The manga Sabrina continues to be pretty-good teen soap opera. If you are looking for supernatural manga-inspired teen soap opera, check it out!" swingwithscooter, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Spider-Girl #83, Uncanny X-Men #455, Supreme Power #15, 3 pts
16. The Monolith #12, Marvel Team-Up #5, X-men: Phoenix Endsong #2, Superman: Strength #2, Ultimate Spider-Man #72, Detective Comics #803, 2 pts
22. Star Wars: Obsession #3, 1 pt
