These rankings are compiled from the top 3 vote-getters of 20 different voters on the Internet for comics released on November 24, 2004.

1. Green Lantern: Rebirth #2, 36 pts
I think this is the first time somebody has been reborn to get further away from God, but it's a great reason to write a comic. Some of the chilling atmosphere from the first issue is still here, but for the most part the cliffhangers involving the other GL's failed to engage me. Still a decent read.

2. The Flash #216, 14 pts
The atmosphere this issue was very good. Geoff found a way to make The Top more interesting, and he even made Identity Crisis fit into a more comprehensible perspective. Zatanna was not improved as much as I would like, but you can't have everything.

3. Adam Strange #3, 13 pts
"This series is just about my favorite DC book of the moment. Diggle knows how to write action stories so that they are intelligent and fun at the same time. Further, the art by Ferry and McCaig is simply incredible. Diggle drops a great cliffhanger to finish this issue off. This is an actual fun super-hero comic. Read this book!" tek3311, DC Message Boards

4. Superman #211, 11 pts
"Not quite the throwdown I expect most people expected, but well done nevertheless. Jim Lee's Wonder Woman is magnificent -- truly heroic in her appearance. (hint hint DC -- put him on WW next) Although the ending wasn't really all that surprising (not as surprising as the destruction of the Fortress of Solitude), I still liked the issue all right. I do have to confess that I finally "get" all the complaints about how Azzarello writes dialogue in riddles -- many of the things the characters said to one another seemed really indirect, as if they were really reading between the lines of the actual statements. I dunno ... the dialogue felt disjointed as a result ... and I hardly ever notice that sort of stuff." ishmael1st, DC Message Boards

5. Black Widow #3, 6 pts
"Very interesting read. Good art. No idea where things are going next." chaingunsofdoom, DC Message Boards

(tied for 6th) Marvel Team-Up #2, 3 pts
A wonderful Spider-Man/Wolverine team up that at least I will remember for years to come. I laughed out loud several times at this one, and that is always a good thing.

(tied for 6th) Uncle Scrooge #336, 3 pts
"The holiday season is here and Gemstone delivers great reads from Duckburg's and perhaps comicdom's richest character. Leading off with a wonderful Carl Barks Christmas story, the Good Duck gets the ball rolling. Simple storytelling at its finest. We then proceed to a dynamic presentation by Marco Rota, who makes you smile even more. Toss in a Grandma Duck and yet another Scrooge Christmas story and you have the winner of the 2004 Eisner Award winner for Best Title For a Younger Audience. Funny, this 29 year old loves it probably more than more young readers. Gemstone creates the best comics on the market, bar none." DubipR, DC Message Boards

(tied for 6th) Supreme Power #13, 3 pts
Not a great issue at all, but there are bonus points for the look on Hyperion's face when that Batman clone offended him. Most of the rest didn't interest me much.

(tied for 6th) Sleeper: Season Two #6, 3 pts
"Sleeper continues as one of the best mainstream books on the stands today. I'm not a fan of most dark action stories, but when they're done this well, I can't help but enjoy it. Brubaker also manages to get some true humor into this book. Philips does his usual work, getting better with each issue. I do hope that something special happens in this book soon, as I'm beginning to take it for granted." tek3311, DC Message Boards

(tied for 6th) Hellblazer #202, 3 pts
"From the cover to the last page this is a great read -- what a John Constantine story SHOULD be. Carey seems to be hitting all cylinders for this tale, and the work by Manco is well done. Best of the week imo." ishmael1st, DC Message Boards
