This issue's revelations are far more important to me than any of the previous ones. Maybe the final issue will sew everything up into a more comprehensible picture? The dialogue was very good, as usual, with very good characterization for some characters.

It's true that not much happened, but the dialogue did include some very good characterization. Mainly the issue explores the fallout from Identity Crisis, but it is done in a classy way.
3. Gotham Central #25, 12 pts"Michael Lark leaves with a huge bang in what has to be the best Bat title (and overall DCU title) on the market. A great blow has come to Batman, via the GCPD as Atkins takes Batman head on, sorta. Rucka writes a dynamic solo issue that wraps up the uber-waste of time and cash War Games crossover. I'm sad to see Michael Lark leave for the competition, but I'll stick with the book." DubipR, DC Message Boards

"The U.N. weapons instructor finally is litterally face to face with the strangly human looking ancient aliens drifting in the Europa's ocean along with potentially terrifying alien weapons. What is also terrifying is that a corporation is already successfully working on activating these
weapons. Grade A writing and artwork." ruschein, DC Message Boards

"Always a good read, even when all it is doing is establishing the new post-election, post-birth order of things, and setting up the next storyline. I'm going to miss my favourite characters, but I'm interested in seeing where Willingham is taking us, next." positiveman, DC Message Boards
(tied for 6th) New Thunderbolts #1, 4 pts
"This surprised me. I figured I'd like it, but not this much. My biggest complaint about the way the last series ended was that it basically re-established the status quo, which is not what the series was about. This book shakes things up -- keeping a few old faces, but adding a number of new ones, and throwing in a new mystery to keep us guessing. Plus: Tom Grummett's art is fabulous, as always." positiveman, DC Message Boards
(tied for 6th) Iron Man #1, 4 pts
"Warren Ellis is the god of Marvel comics right now. Last week was the awesome conclusion to Ultimate Fantastic Four, now this first issue of Iron Man. Beautiful, well fitting art and an excellent story so far give me high hopes for a character who I've never really been into. I hope Brubaker can do the same with Captain America." revolver86, DC Message Boards
(tied for 8th) Marvel Team-Up #1, 3 pts
Spider-Man and Wolverine in this issue. It was very amusing in the way that only team-up issues can be. I would fault it for having too much of Spider-Man's personal life, but that isn't a major fault.

"Vertigo's newest mini is a smart and well written issue. Writer Gary Phillips knows how to set up a story with a great character in Nate Hollis. A mystery in Los Angeles (my hometown!) unfolds some rather nasty things and its up to Hollis to piece it all together. Shawn Martinbrough, whose pencils never looked better, shines and shows why needs yet another monthly book. Fans of his and Rucka's Detective run know what I mean." DubipR, DC Message Boards
(tied for 8th) Planetes Vol. 4 #1, 3 pts" Makoto Yukimura. Best of month. Hard science fiction playing in the year 2070. Great characters and a fascinating world. The focus is on a group of people that remove dangerous orbital garbage. The now hasband/wife main characters have split up with him on the first human mission to Jupiter and her fighting against orbital military bombs that threaten to make near earth orbit unusable due to millions of dangerous fragments caused by a kind of chain reaction called the Keller effect." ruschein, DC Message Boards
