These rankings are compiled from the top 3 vote-getters of 23 different voters on the Internet for comics released on November 3rd, 2004.

1. Astonishing X-Men #6, 25 pts
"The quips and CAssaady's art are the real draws (sorry, unintended pun) here. I also liked the return of the "fastball special." What takes away from the impact of this issue is that some things are left unresolved. This bothers me becasue I know Whedon is only scheduled to stay on another six issues. There's too much here to clean up by then and still tell cool stories!" darklaw14, DC Message Boards

2. JLA: Classified #1, 16 pts
A good issue, introducing some colorful Morrison characters. This is the wackiest I've seen him since Doom Patrol, and that can only be good. I like the Batman humor too. Next issue should be good.

3. Fallen Angel #17, 9 pts
" The first time that FA has ended up in the top slot, and it's a doozy. PAD contines to add to the mystery of Bete Noire, with hints that Juris may be much older than he looks, while adding backstory to characters such as Boxer. The fight scene between Mr. Kind and Lee was an awesome, if breif, sight to behold. Fallen Angel remains a criminally under-read book. Hopefully with George Perez doing the covers for #19 and #20 some more people will pick it up." jimmyking, DC Message Boards

4. Catwoman: When in Rome #2, 7 pts
"I seriously think Tim Sale co-writes with Loeb, because it is the only time it feels like Jeph is a compitant writer. Love this story so far, and to have Tim Sale two weeks in a row is just cream-worthy. That has got to be one of the HOTTEST renditions of Selina Kyle in recent memory. Great issue." revolver86, DC Message Boards

5. The Avengers #503, 5 pts
1. The Avengers #503, 3.5* This issue had its ups and downs, with some brilliant lines from Spider-Man and Dr. Strange. The sentimental scenes at the end were overdone and maudlin, but that doesn't hurt the comic very much.

(tied for 6th) Detective Comics #800, 4 pts
"There were some rather "blah" moments in this ish, but there were plenty of good ones, such as Catwoman confronting Batman near the end, and Batman's resultant response. Also, the scene with Mad Hatter and company was well-executed; Batman's banter was fun. The recaps of all the supporting characters were pretty well-executed. I wish Gordon was still the commish, though. Low points: Obviously, these bat-books are going to be delving into street-level crim some; I just hope the writers can bring something new to the table. Another low point was the poor treatment of the Killer Croc character, which has been abundant lately. That character has so much more potential than the creators use. Check out Batman #471 and some of the following appearances of Croc for some examples. Plus, I hate the character's new look. And where did his green skin go?" jas83, DC Message Boards

(tied for 6th) Superman/Batman #13, 4 pts
The dialogue in this issue made me cringe far too many times, and the plot was terrible. I appreciate the respect for the characters, but that is the only good thing I can say about this issue. There was one good funny line, but I regret spending my $3.

(tied for 6th) Majestic #4, 4 pts
"You know, I loved the three issue Majestic intro into the DC Universe. Dug the first two issues of this mini, absolutely hated the third, then now the fourth comes out and guess what? Loved it. I will most definitely be check out the new Majestic ongoing next year, though I am sad we are loosing artist Karl Kerschl." jacktheknife, DC Message Boards

(tied for 9th) Uncle Scrooge #335, 3 pts
"Fans of Disney comics and lovers of DuckTales and the likes will appreciate this comic. Gemstone gives the reader the first ever penciled and written story by one of comicdom's best ever, Don Rosa. Taking themes and ideas from the great Carl Barks, Rosa creates a legendary tale that will knock any mainstream book on their behinds. All the elements are there; concise storytelling, detailed artwork, the right mixture of humor and action and all emotions in between. This title has been a pleasure to buy ever since the relaunch of the Disney comics came back." dubipr, DC Message Boards

(tied for 9th) Sleeper Season Two #5, 3 pts
"This issue was simply average for this series, whic means that it was still better than 90% of the rest of comics today. One big secret is revealed, but the heart of the book remains with the characterization and intelligent plot. Sleeper is perhaps the best mainstream comic on the stands right now, and yet no one reads it." tek3311, DC Message Boards
