Sivana reveals himself to be the true villain behind the Outsider's troubles. And now, he is set to blow the whole team into atoms-- but not before Grace and Thunder get into some hot girl-girl action. Is anyone surprised that another same-sex angle is being thrown at us from out of nowhere-- and in a Judd Winick book, no less? That said, the book is entertaining in its tension, its casual violence and hard-driving action. While the art is far from beautiful, it does have an appropriately gritty look to it. One might complain about the use of sex and violence to sell this book but those are the title's main assets. None of the characters are very likeable and the stories are too outlandish to be taken seriously. They could kill off almost any of the characters without anyone caring. It is the fights and sexual situations that have become the main attractions. The one outsider in the Outsiders is that straight-arrow, Dick Grayson. What's he doing working with these hardened killers?
