360 wins the Battle at the Apollo
EA
did a better job on the Xbox 360 version of Fight Night Round 3.
That's the consensus coming from the audience at H3Enterprises'
Battle at the Apollo challenge, held yesterday. The challenge pitted
two players against each other, e
ach
playing the game on one of the two systems, but viewed, split screen,
on the same 1080p television. According to the release, the 360 won
“
a
convincing victory over its highly sought after rival Playstation 3.”
For those not convinced, H3 will be holding a second round of the
challenge at Spike TV's Video Game Awards on December 8th.
There will also be a basketball shootout using EA Sports’ NBA Live
2007 and 2K Sports’ NBA 2K7. The backstage booth will be hosted by
Walton and other Dipset members.

EA ready for domination
EA
has a new Burnout title in development exclusively for Playstation 2
and PSP. The announcement went out today, Burnout Dominator is
coming. Burnout Dominator is an all-new installment of the
multi-award winning Burnout series, loaded with intense racing action
and dozens of World Tour events. Burnout Dominator challenges gamers
to face off against a series of hot-blooded rivals in brutal tests of
aggressive driving techniques where performing burnouts gives you the
advantage and multiplies your score potential. We can believe it, as
the Burnout games have kept us on the edge of our seats for hours.
“The series was born on the Playstation 2, and Burnout Dominator is
about celebrating the essence of Burnout,” said Nick Channon,
senior producer of Burnout Dominator. “Burnout Dominator focuses on
the reckless skill-based racing and fear of crashing that fueled the
first games.” Burnout Dominator, being developed by EA's UK Studio,
will be set to ship in 2007. There is no official date set, as of
yet.
EA
also officially announced that SSX Blur is in development exclusively
for Wii. The franchise, which is already well known for its high
adrenaline action, will have a whole new gameplay element due to the
Wii's unique controller. The game is in development at EA Montreal
and is set to be released in March 2007.
