joins Futuremark's Benchmark Dev. Program
AGEIA
Technologies Inc., maker of the PhysX hardware accelerator, has
joined with Futuremark, maker of the 3DMark Benchmark software, as
part of the 3DMark Benchmark Development Program. Futuremark hopes
that AGEIA's experience with advanced physics in games will allow
them to further increase the accuracy of the 3DMark Benchmark
program. The partnership is sure to have an impact on hardcore
gamers, who usually try to squeeze every last bit of power they can
get into their machines.

showcases Xbox 360 holiday lineup at X06
Microsoft's
X06 is being held in Geneva, Switzerland today and tomorrow and EA is
giving its all to show what it's got coming for Xbox 360 this holiday
season. The list of games that will be available for hands-on play
include FIFA 07, Need for Speed Carbon, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, NBA
Live 07, NHL 07, Half Life 2 and Superman Returns: The Video Game.
EA will also be announcing new features for the Xbox 360 version FIFA 07 at X06, including the new EA Sports engine, Xbox Live and Xbox Live Marketplace features, a new player evolution system in Manager Mode and the new Challenge mode, which offers 85 different scenarios to test players' skills.
