Sony announces new PSP bundle

Sony has announced that it will be releasing a new PSP Entertainment Pack. The new bundle will be available in the U.S. starting today, but Canadians will have to wait until next Tuesday to get their hands on it. The Entertainment Pack, priced at $249.99 in the U.S. and $279.99 in Canada, will include ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails, a UMD version of Lords of Dogtown and a 1GB Sony brand Memory Stick Pro Duo.

With the PS3 release, which will be severely short stocked, not too far away and a possible redesign of the PSP lingering, we're wondering why, of all the bundles they could have come up with to try to boost their holiday sales, Sony went with this one. Well, at least the 1GB Memory Stick means it comes with something.

Wii Day schedules

Wii Day is tomorrow, and that means that people who've been waiting to hear new information on the Wii, myself included, will finally have their day. Thanks to some extra research we found the event schedule on sites like joystiq.com and wiicentre.com.

The U.S. event, which will be held in NYC, starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM, the Japan event starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM Japan time. That translates to 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM Eastern Standard time tonight, which means it might be a late night for us at The Bin. The European event, which will be held on Friday, will start at 11:00 AM GMT and end at 5:00 PM GMT. For those who are interested, that's 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday. We're looking forward to hearing all the news.

Correction! - The actual start time of the Japan event is 2:00 PM Japan Time, which translates to 1:00 AM Eastern Standard time. Looks like we won't be pulling that late night after all. Check back for more info during the day. We're sorry for the mixup.

2K Sports announces new feature for NBA 2K7

It seems the 2K team is keeping quite busy these days. Today they announced a new gameplay feature for their upcoming game NBA 2K7. The new Signature Style feature will allow players to get more involved with their favourite star's moves. Signature Style simulates each athlete's personal style, captured directly from their on-court moves. The feature is supposed to make each player in the game more like the actual athlete. With the rest of the features already in the game and the addition of Signature Style, it looks like NBA 2K7 is going to turn out pretty nicely. We'll just have to wait and see. The current release date is set for Sept. 25th. You can expect to pay $29.99 USD or $39.99 CAD for the PS2 or Xbox versions and $59.99 USD or $69.99 CAD for the Xbox 360 version.
