The Black Panther Enters The Civil War

Black Panther #21 Second Printing

Although there is an ongoing controversy about the author of the Black Panther comic book series published by Marvel Comics, the publisher has included the series in the midst of its current companywide event, The Civil War. The Black Panther comic book series, about King T'Challa and his Queen Ororo, best known as the X-Men's Storm has recently featured a World Tour as part of the couple's honeymoon. It they visit rogues states and powerful characters divided over the Civil War in the United States, pitting super heroes in favour of registration of super humans versus those against.

Marvel sold out of Black Panther #21, where the monarch and Storm agree to enter the Civil War. The publisher is releasing a second print run of this comic book. "Both retailers and fans alike have demanded this and we're happy to provide a second printing of #21 as well as a Civil War cover treatment for BP #22," says Marvel's Vice President of Sales David Gabriel. "The second printing cover will also sport our now famous CW second print cover treatments. This is great news for fans of the Black Panther and of Civil War! Thanks to all the retailers and fans for continuing the success of this event."

Black Panther #22

In Black Panther #21, the royal couple is persuaded by Namor to take a stand in the escalating Civil War ripping through America. The possibility of Iron Man's plan for a Unites States overrun by militaristic super heroes cannot be allowed. Civil War is about to get International. Black Panther #22 will feature a Civil War-styled cover.

As for the controversy surrounding author Reginald Hudlin about his different take on the Black Panther, it seems like it will encourage more readers to find out for themselves why Black Panther seems to challenge the perceptions of people both within and outside his fictional comic book universe.
