CRY is a supernatural thriller about Boston Homicide Detective Pamela "CRY" Tepes and a city that is over run by vampires. However, not in the way that is typically thought. "They pretty much rule the city", Joe explains, "but are mostly an urban legend to humans, obviously some people are in the know. I plan on getting a lot of fun stories out of that."
CRY: Day after Day is a one shot book that has plans for many more. "I wanted to do a one shot and see what kind of reaction I get. I hope people like it, I have a lot more stories I want to tell, I plan on taking it in many different directions. I hope people dig it", says Joe. "The style of this book is very different then the look of Assassins' Guild. I'm so use to inking Dustin's (Weaver) pencils that are highly detailed, I wanted to go in a different direction. My biggest influences are Frank Miller, Scott McDaniel, Phil Hester and John Romita, Jr., I think my style is a representative of those influences."
CRY will be on sale at MegaCon at the Knightshift Entertainment table in the Independent Press Area. Joe will be on hand to sign copies and talk to fans. Randy Taylor, writer of Assassins' Guild who also had script assist on CRY, will be there as well.
