This month’s recent issue of Nickelodeon features a special story on THE WIZARD OF OZ, and all of its many incarnations. Among them you’ll find Alias’ series, OZF5: GALE FORCE – an all-new, all-ages story of Oz, as Dorothy Gale returns to Oz, armed with a water gun, to join her friends, a master of Wing Chun Kung Fu Scarecrow, a kilt-wearing Celtic-Warrior King of the Beasts Lion, and an axe wielding Tin Man War Machine who is composed of various automobile parts that have been dropped into Oz by whirlwinds!
With the ferocity of an F5 tornado, Dorothy and crew face Rocket-powered Flying Monkeys, marauding Winkie War Machines, and the West Witch's murderous crows and wicked wolves as they attempt to free the strange Land of Oz from the Witch's wicked reign.
“I am thrilled to see OZF5 mentioned in Nickelodeon Magazine. It gives the book much wider exposure to a portion of the audience that it is tailor made for,” said writer/creator, Ramon Madrigal. “To be mentioned along such well-known representations as the Broadway musical in a magazine of Nickelodeon's caliber is a comic book creator's dream. Kids should be able to enjoy comics as much as adults, and if OZF5 can have as many younger readers who enjoy the book as adult readers then I'll be happy.”
OZF5: GALE FORCE, by Ramon Madrigal and Ryan Ottley (INVINCIBLE), debuted at Alias Comics in August, being met with great reviews.
