Green Lantern #1 - Most Popular Book of May 2005

According to information released by Diamond Comic Distributors DC Comics sold the most units and earned the most amount of in sales for May 2005.

Green Lantern #1 written by Geoff Johns with art by Ethan Van Sciver, Carlos Pacheco & Jesus Merino was the first book in the sales chart. Spot # three went to Green Lanter: Rebirth #6, also by Johns and Van Sciver, but with the rentis Rollins. Spot # four is Villains United, written by Gail Simone with art by Dale Eaglesham & Wade Von Grawbadger and a cover by J.G. Jones. DC Comics also captured other top ten spot with The Omac Project #2, written by Greg Rucka with art by Jesus Saiz and a cover by Ladrönn and Rann-Thanagar War #1, written by Dave Gibbons with art and cover by Ivan Reis & Marc Campos.

According to Stephanie Fierman, DC ' s Senior VP Sales & Marketing, " We had a very strong month in May, thanks to the return of Green Lantern and the success of the miniseries tying into INFINITE CRISIS. We ' re confident that our momentum will continue to build as the CRISIS gets nearer."
