Summary: Free Agent Junk is the sole survivor of a nuclear attack, and it's a closely-guarded secret how he managed to escape alive. Junk's current mission is to rendezvous with the mysterious criminal "X," who has been sending Junk messages lately. X wants Junk's help to meet the Reverend Nagil, leader of a heretical religious sect; but Junk suspects that X has hidden motives for this meeting.
