We already do not see that many "A"-level heroes of African descent. The only two who had recent make-overs and are now back in the spotlight as main characters are the Black Panther and Luke Cage. I know that we have Storm and Bishop, but what happened to Rage, Pulsar, and the rest? I like what Marvel is doing with the Falcon. His dialogue with Thor and the Invisible Woman is indicative of a character who has substantial history in the Marvel Universe. I just want to see more parity. That is why Black Panther # 18 was so special. That comic featured a wide range of characters and it even touched on great idea, "The Black Avengers". (Maybe I could write and draw it???)
Aside form the death of Bill Foster leaving me a bit hurt, it was a great story. Both sides full of pros and cons. People not really sure on either side. While I was truly surprised to see Cable of all people walk out with Nighthawk and Dagger, boy, I was glad to see that it is only a Thor clone. I am surprised at Tony's behavior with Spider-Man, Spider Woman, and his pay off to the Crimson Dynamo prior to the Civil War. Spidey is really going to suffer. I hated his identity "exposure" to a train full of people is the movie Spider-Man 2, now he is trouble for real, and I feel his family will pay dearly.
I can't wait to read issue number 5. Between Civil War, the two Wolverine comics, and Annihilation, I am hoping for big things to come in the Marvel Universe.
Now when can we get action figures of Nova, Nighthawk, Rage, Pulsar, Grey Gargoyle, Sebastian Shaw, Whirlwind, the Super Adaptoid, and Sunfire???
