Iron Man Anime in october!

The Japanese television channel Animax has launched a website for MADHOUSE's anime adaptation of Marvel's Iron Man character with three promotional videos: "World Premiere," "Unveiling," and "Japanese Studio Adapts into Anime (

Prolific comic writer Warren Ellis provided the story, and Yuzo Sato (Kaiji, Biohunter, One Outs) is directing the project with character designs by Takahiro Umehara (Tenjho Tenge, Claymore, One Outs). The cast includes Keiji Fujiwara (Tony Stark), Hiroe Oka (Pepper Potts), Unshou Ishizuka (Defense Minister Kuroda), Takako Honda (Tanaka), and Shizuka Itou (Nanami Ōta).

An Iron Man anime preview special will run on Animax on September 25 — one week before the 12-episode series actually has its world television premiere on the same channel on October 1. It will then run on the American network G4 next year.
