Storm enlists the resources of the Fantastic Four to look for the rogue mutants who attacked the Morlocks. However, continuing the investigation is not easy as the Sentinels get in the way. Elsewhere, Skids is put away from the rest of the mutant rebels, revealing to all her real purpose. Will Skids’ new purpose stop the X-Men from stopping the other rogue mutants?
It's another quiet issue with solid some action. The story moves slowly but surely. There’s a little humour when the Fantastic Four show up. I like where Brubaker is taking the oldest of all the X-Men’s series. It really feels like a mature book where the reader is not treated as an idiot. Here, all characters are sound and well featured. Compared to the X-Men series, the Uncanny X-Men are much more interesting and use better storytelling.
The highlight of the story continues to be the artwork which makes the story feel like a detective story. Moreover, Larroca moves the story through successive panels that remain consistent. The artwork by Mike Perkins in the Endangered Species complement story is as entertaining, but sticks to traditional comic book styles with strong inking but more adventurous composition within the panels.
