We asked Muse what kind of song “Touch You There” was. He said it was a slow song meant to address the message of touching another person’s hearts and emotions. He based it on a real story on the partner of a dear person afflicted with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. It’s reaching for this kind of emotion that will break or make a song.
