Bizarro contemplates his place in the Bizarroverse, mirroring the appearance of Superman in the first issue of Superman (during the launch of DCU Rebirth). Several pages of opposite speak, and an introduction to Boyzarro leads to a meeting between him and Superboy, with the help of his old friend from Hamilton, Kathy, and the eventual crossing of Boyzarro into Superboy's universe.

I've enjoyed Gleason and Tomasi's run. I will forever be grateful to them for bringing back my Superman (The Post-Crisis Superman) and merging him with (or at least the merging him with the events of) The New 52 Superman, effectively wiping the latter from existence (thankfully), but I'm so ready to see what Brian Michael Bendis has in store for Superman that I'm forcing myself to read these last few issues before Bendis shows up. Again, I mean absolutely no disrespect to Gleason and Tomasi and I love their work, both as artists and writers, I'm just frustrated that they have to tell stories about Bizarro, i.e. "safe stories," in advance of Bendis' arrival. Surely, nothing from the Superman "toybox" can be seriously messed with by Tomasi and Gleason so their stories from here on out are pretty much filler, and that's sad.

Patrick Gleason is one of the most influential and, most recognizable, and most groundbreaking artist of the past two decades. There's little more praise that I can heft upon him beside the fact that he is one of my favorite mainstream superhero artists of all time.

C'mon Bendis. Let's get this party started.
