And
we’re back, after last issue’s brief interlude in the ongoing Metal saga.
Nightwing is back, patrolling the mean streets of Bludhaven, where crime boss Roland
Desmond – the new Blockbuster – is still wrangling his control of the city’s
various gang affiliations. 
Meanwhile, Dick Grayson’s one-time partner-in-crime (no, really) Raptor is gunning for him once more, eager to settle their differences once and for all. Nightwing needs allies (I guess the Teen Titans don’t count), but he finds his options few and far between. In fact, he driven to desperation with perhaps the last person he should partner up with.
Among those who turn him down are the Run-Offs, a group of one-time Z-list super-villains who are trying to go straight. It’s is argued that being villains ruined their lives, but being heroes ends their lives (one was killed in a previous issue, and they blame Nightwing). Yet they continue to dress like villains, so my suggestion is to ditch the spandex in favor of regular street clothes.
All in all, a rather uneven return to the status quo, but it’s early yet. The story is just getting ramped up. Artwork by Mendonca and Egea is serviceable, though not outstanding. It may be a good jumping on point for new readers.
