Magic Chicks is a spin-off from Eerie cuties. It handles some of the themes that perhaps Eerie Cuties couldn't in more depth, notably the characters sexuality. It is of course similarly funny and has it's moments of drama.

The Magic Chicks of the title are three witches; Melissa, Cerise and Jacqui, who have been expelled from Charybdis Heights and are now attending Artemis Academy. Having been used to being feted at Charybdis Heights, they soon find that they have to start all over again and have serious competition in the popularity stakes in the form of the amoral, Faith a high grade psychic. This adds another dimension to the trio's dynamic.

First of all, the girls find out it's a single sex school much to their annoyance. Then they discover the added complication that Artemis Academy is actually a school that trains monster hunters! So witches are definitely not welcome. The girls have to hide the fact they are witches full time whilst enrolled in the advanced magic program. This definitely makes for some interesting moments when they encounter a wild mix of characters (and old gods!). The academy even has it's a resident masked heroine!
