A new League is being formed with members of the New Titans forming the backbone of the roster. It’s a new opportunity for the former Titans, but will their graft take over the core of the old Justice League?

I like how Robinson tries the concept of graduating all of the older Titans into the Justice League. I like how he uses proxies for the big three, Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman, in the form of Donna Troy, Mon’El and the new Batman. Here he uses Donna Troy as the link of the new team, as she used to be in with the New Titans. Here role here is more defined than Wonder Woman’s ever was in the Justice League and I like what she adds. I’m not sure what Starfire and Cyborg add to the team, but as senior members of the Titans, their graduation into the League makes sense. As for the old team, I like how the few members are exiting and merging with the team spearheaded by Green Lantern and Green Arrow. Robinson has set up a lot of interesting dynamics with this team, and I’ll argue that his League is far more interesting than Brad Meltzer or Grant Morrison’s. There’s so much fresh energy here that then League should not fill staid, even with a large roster.

Bagley is a pro. I’m more used to seeing him on a Spider-man book than on a Justice League series. So his characters have that Marvel Comics energy and looseness which is often lacking from the illustration centric DC Comics. With Robinson, this is an excellent mix that should produce results.
