A green comet nearly destroys the Justice League satellite and crashes on Earth attracting the attention of the Demon. The Justice League must fight him for the possession of the big green rock. Elsewhere, the Justice Society deals with the catatonic Golden Age Green Lantern. Is there a link between the green rick and the Golden Age Green Lantern?

It seems that this story will be one of the classic Justice League meeting with the Justice Society. That the Justice Society comic book is better and more fun than the Justice League is not a compliment on what should be DC Comics’ frontline series. I don’t like the mix of characters for this series. It really doesn’t feel like I’m reading the Justice League. It feels like the Teen Titans, but without the cohesion. I like the characters’ inner monologues though. This series seems like the bad years from Justice League Detroit and the weaker ones during the Justice League series with Keith Giffen. But magic has worked its way on a weirder bunch so maybe in a few issues, I’ll be impressed.

Bagley is a great Spider-man artist. He really knows how to make a page dynamic. He brings classic Marvel Comics dynamism to this series. It feels odd! Hunter and Rapmund are not the best inkers for Bagley’s pencil though. They add a Jim Lee quality to Bagley’s work which doesn’t fit well with his style.
