Amazo takes over the Red Tornado's new body and uses it to attack the Justice League. The team puts up a fight but Amazo has all their powers and uses them in a collected, methodical manner that puts the heroes on the defensive.

Despite the presence of big name heroes and a formidable villain, this issue is strangely listless and dull. Maybe it is the mechanical tone of Amazo or maybe it is the poor pacing of the heroes' actions but the whole Amazo-JLA conflict simply is not exciting. One hero attacks Amazo. The bad guy counters. Another hero attacks, repeat 5X, etc.

The art does not help things. Benes again puts the heroes in pin-up poses that sometimes don't even fit the situation. Sure, they look pretty but they don't make the story more interesting or help the action move forward.

Additionally, this is the second time in barely a year that we get Amazo using the Red Tornado's body to attack the JLA. How many times is this is going to happen? At this point, no matter how popular the Red Tornado is among his team-mates, they must really start questioning whether he is worth all the trouble.
