I’ve enjoyed this story, and learning that Damian Wayne has taken his grandfather’s place as the head of the League of Assassins. It’s seems so obvious when one thinks about it. He’s still the same arrogant Damian that once served as Batman’s sidekick, but he is now far more lethal, much to Bruce’s dismay. But is he the villain? Well, that’s a gray area, no doubt one that will be explored in future issues.

My only disappointment was how the story wrapped itself up so neatly, literally with hugs all around. I wouldn’t expect such a level of peace to be attained so easily. No doubt that will be explored as well. How long will it be before Damian seeks out Terry McGinnis’ help on some crisis within the League?

Chang’s artwork has been exemplary in this story arc; everything one expects from a comic book artist. If there is a DC Comics house style, Chang is capable of easily emulating it, while giving it his own spin at the same time.

But I’ll be honest – after three issues of fisticuffs, I’m a wee bit tired, and am looking forward to dozing on the flying car ride back to Gotham City. Perhaps after this epic, Jurgens should craft a couple of done-in-ones, to give new arrivals the chance to catch up.
